There is a section in this chapter that talks about testimony's. A testimony is the statement of another person or agency that is used to support a claim. The book also says that it may be used with examples or statistics as backing for the grounds of an argument. It can also serve by itself as the grounds for an argument from authority. Testimony also adds the credibility of its source to the grounds or warrant of an argument (pg 108).
An example of a testimony is the case of the murder of Wood in Lynchburg. There was a testimony by one of the gang members that was involved in the murder. The testimony lasted for about an hour and seemed to be a testimony that stood by itself for the grounds of the argument. The argument for the case is if the defendants are guilty or not. The testimony that the guy give is to support the claim that Wood was murdered and the guy talks about the events of the night. This helps support the claim that Wood was murdered and the defendants should be trialed for being guilty. Testimony's in court are also sworn under oath so there is no way to argue that the testimony is false or fake. It's 100 percent true and is helpful towards putting the murders in jail.
